2022 Summit on Disability and Inclusion

The Summit is TPI’s signature event that brings together current research and community partners to highlight best practices that improve the lives of people with disabilities by supporting inclusivity for all. The presentations during the Summit will appeal to self-advocates, families, educators, teacher education faculty, medical professionals, and service providers.

Don’t Limit Me by Megan Bomgaars

Megan, a well-known self-advocate with Down Syndrome, presented the keynote address “Don’t Limit Me” to open the 2021 Summit on DisAbility and Inclusion. Megan is an artist, entrepreneur, published author, college student, and lead on the critically acclaimed show Born this Way on A&E.

Person Driven Planning – A Person-Centered Approach to Transition Planning.

This training video is a collaborative effort between the Thompson Policy Institute on Disability at Chapman University and The El Dorado Charter SELPA, made possible through a state grant provided by the California Department of Education’s Public Charter Schools Grant Program. Specifically, it falls under the Regional Technical Assistance and Coaching Sub-grant for the year 2023. SSA Electronic Wage Reporting Options

This video provides information on how to electronically submit your wages to the Social Security Administration (SSA) through the Telephone Wage Reporting system, Mobile Wage Reporting application, and online using the mySocialSecurity portal.
